We have new information from the founder of Protandim (Dr McCord). Checkout his comments from the latest Lifevantage conference.
Protandim was originally developed to up-regulate 3 genes. It turns out that it is a POWERFUL Nrf2 activator. (For those of you going to meetings and participating in Webinars, this isn’t news, but it is something we didn’t know when the ABC Primetime investigative report came out.) Remember, from the business model perspective, we have the market cornered on Nrf2 activators. The Nrf2 pathway regulates about 400 genes, one of them by as much as 3200%! (That’s not a typo.) This particular gene promotes cell survival by responding to free radical damage and protecting your cells from cell death. (Which part of your body isn’t made up of cells?) This is pretty amazing – and you have the exclusive rights to this breakthrough product!
Here’s the other incredible take-away that I got from Dr. McCord’s talk. Activating the Nrf2 pathway sensitizes tumors to chemo and radiation and it protects the non-cancerous cells from the effects of chemo and radiation! (This is hot off the presses NEW information from a study published Oct 6, 2010. see http://www.pubmed.gov/ & search Nrf2 and you will see this) (In English, this means that contrary to what we’d originally believed, this should make the chemo and radiation more effective on tumors while protecting the other cells in the body.) This study wasn’t done on Protandim itself but on one of the ingredients in Protandim which is also a Nrf2 . Since the unique synergy of our 5 ingredients is scientifically proven to increase the effectiveness of each of the ingredients by a factor of 18, this is significant!
Protandim is one amazing product. There is a reason why these schools are researching it:
